| * Library materials may be returned at the Circulation Desk. | |||
| OVERDUE AND REPLACEMENT CHARGES | |||
* Fines are five cents per day for overdue books and computer software, and fifty cents per day for reserve materials. * Overdue fines for videos and DVDs are $1.00/day. If these items are 30 days overdue, the borrower will be billed for full replacement cost plus a $25.00 processing fee. * Full replacement cost will be charged for lost or severely damaged library materials. Accumulated fines exceeding $10 will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges. |

| * Failure to return borrowed materials will result in transcripts, semester
grades, and refund checks being withheld, as well as a loss of library
borrowing privileges. |

| REVIEW YOUR RECORD | |||
*Library users can view their files on the library's automated circulation system, including patron contact information, items checked out and their due dates, overdue items and fines. Users can also renew books from this screen. To view your patron information, click on the "Review Your Record" button from any of the Library catalog pages. To protect the confidentiality of your library records, you must also select a PIN number and register it at the Circulation desk in order to use this feature. |

| RENEWALS AND HOLDS | |||
* If no other library borrower has requested it, a book may be renewed twice (a total of six weeks borrowing time). Videos and DVDs may be renewed by students one time, for an additional 4 days. Renewal requests may be made at the Circulation Desk, by telephone, or online through the Library Catalog by clicking on the "Review your Record" button. To protect the confidentiality of your library records, you must also select a PIN number and register it at the Circulation desk in order to use this feature. |

| * If a book is checked out, a hold may be placed on that item by another
library borrower. |

| BORROWING MEDIA | |||
* Videos, DVDs, and other media may be checked out by Medaille students, faculty and staff, as stated above and according to the library's Video and DVD Circulation Policy. Alumni, and InfoPass users may not borrow DVDs or videos. DVDs and videos are not loaned through ILL. |

| COURSE RESERVES | |||
| The Medaille College Library provides Course Reserve services for students
and faculty. Books, videos, DVDs, copies of assigned readings, supplemental
readings, previous tests, research papers and assignments, and other materials
are available at the front desk. A current bar-coded student ID card is
required to check out all reserve items. Instructors will determine if
their reserve materials are to be for in-library use only, or if they
may be borrowed overnight. |

| ELECTRONIC RESERVES | |||
| Selected reserve materials may also be available online through the
Library's ERes (Electronic Reserves) system. ERes provides access
to selected course materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the
Library's Web pages. To comply with copyright regulations, access to Electronic Reserves materials is password protected and limited to students enrolled in the specified classes.
