All online databases, such as ProQuest, NexisLexis, EbscoHost, Galenet and others, are available from off-campus computers for current Medaille students, faculty, and staff. Alumni must have an alumni card, issued and renewed yearly by the College's Development office. Due to database vendors' licensing agreements, off-campus access to the Library's subscription databases is limited to these groups and requires a log-in using your Medaille ID card number.

New students at the Main campus must present their Medaille ID card and fill out a registration form in the Library. New Accel students will register at their campus centers. Returning students may continue to use their existing ID cards, but should advise the Library of any address or phone number changes, either in person or by phone (880-2283 or toll-free 800-292-1582 and ask for the library.)

A number of AOL subscribers have reported intermittent problems connecting to the library's databases. Some have found more reliable access using Netscape or Internet Explorer browsers, instead of AOL's. To do so: |

| 2. Then open up AOL and log on. Minimize the screen. |
| 3. Open up Netscape or Internet Explorer and enter the Library's homepage URL: http://eres.medaille.edu/library01/alt/start.asp |
|
If you are still experiencing problems, call the Library at 880-2283 or toll-free 800-292-1582 and ask for the library, or send an email to a Medaille librarian.Your message should explain the problem and include any error messages you received, the name of your Internet Service provider, and the browser you are using. |
