Interlibrary Loan
- Interlibrary loan
forms are available at the Circulation Desk or may be filled out online.
- Books and copies
of periodical articles not owned by Medaille College Library may be
obtained from other institutions through Interlibrary Loan.
- There is usually
no charge for this service for Medaille students, faculty, administrators,
and staff.

Please plan ahead
and allow at least two weeks for processing of any Interlibrary Loan
request.
- Please Note: Undergraduate students are limited to 5 requests
within the system at one time.
- Graduate students with a large number of requests are encouraged to consult
with a librarian to explore the possibility of obtaining some materials
by another means.
Loan
Period
- Books requested through Interlibrary loan have a loan period
as stipulated by the lending institution. There will be a card inside the book stating the
exact due date.
- Articles requested through Interlibrary loan do not have to be
returned.
Copyright Restrictions
- Copyright constraints
limit Interlibrary loan requests to five articles, per journal, per
year, from journal issues published within the past five years.
- Please Note:
Email is the preferred method of contact when ILLs arrive. If an Email
address is not provided, one phone call will be made to notify the
requestor that the item is available.
- Also Note: This
service is primarily designed to be used by Medaille college Faculty,
Staff, and Students.
