Many more full-text articles are available through our varied subscription databases which range from general to subject-specific. The Library also has items in various special collections, including:
- Curricular materials
- Children's literature, including the Donna Phillips Collection
- Audio-visual materials
- The Loren Keller Collection of art and literature books
- The Theodore Roosevelt Collection of core literary works
Medaille College Library's electronic databases, journals, and electronic books are available remotely, any time of the day or night, to all Medaille students, staff and faculty.
Services
Reference: The Library provides reference services during all hours that the library is open. After hours, or if you can’t come in to the library, you can chat live with a reference librarian by clicking on the “Ask Us 24/7” link on the Library’s website. Ask Us 24/7 is a consortial virtual reference service whose librarians are located around the nation.
Interlibrary Loan: If Medaille doesn’t have the book or article that you need, you may request it via interlibrary loan. If you’ve already determined that the Library doesn’t have the book you need, you can fill out the online form, which is available on the Library’s website. Please note that it can take up to 2 weeks to receive items via ILL.
Library Instruction: The Library offers general and course-specific informational sessions to introduce Medaille students to the library’s resources. Instructors can contact Andrew Yeager to set up sessions for their classes.
